Requirements for Applicants

Age Requirements

To enrol in the IB DP programme at Adriatic College, candidates must be at least 16 years old and not older than 19 at the start of the academic year.

We are prepared to consider exceptions to the age requirements for students who demonstrate sufficient academic knowledge and maturity corresponding to the level of the IB DP programme. If you have any questions about enrollment, please contact the admissions committee to discuss your circumstances.

Academic Requirements

Candidates for admission to the IB DP programme must have completed secondary education or its equivalent, as evidenced by relevant documents. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge aligned with high school standards, including critical thinking skills, research abilities, and a readiness for independent learning.

Language Requirements

For enrolment in the IB DP programme, we expect candidates to be able to participate actively in academic discussions, understand texts in English, and articulate their thoughts both orally and in writing with sufficient clarity. Students must possess adequate English language skills to effectively understand educational materials and instructors' explanations and argue their thoughts and ideas.

The ability to study material independently and work on projects where English is the primary language of communication is essential. Candidates must actively expand their vocabulary and deepen their understanding of language.
