Student Council Project Launched at Adriatic College

IB DP students have presented a project to establish a student council. Elections are planned for May, alongside the development of a student "Constitution" and a Student Assembly.
Adriatic College is launching a new initiative led by the senior students themselves. Yesterday, students of the IB Diploma Programme (DP) presented a project to establish a student council.
The project aims to create a full student representation system, including:
- Forming a student council;
- Holding democratic elections;
- Developing a student "Constitution";
- Establishing a Student Assembly where important issues of the school community will be discussed and decided upon;
The elections will take place in May. The initiators of the project noted that the idea came from their own experience: while organising the Spring Ball, they realised how engaging it is to discuss, debate and make decisions together. This experience became the starting point for launching the student council project.
The project is designed to foster democratic skills and active participation in school life. As the students themselves emphasise, democracy cannot be learned from a textbook alone — it must be lived through real experiences.
