Engineering Olympiad at Adriatic College

The Engineering Olympiad at Adriatic College brought together 63 participants who demonstrated engineering thinking, creativity, and teamwork. We are pleased to present the results of the competition.

On Friday, the long-awaited Engineering Olympiad took place at Adriatic College. The event was dedicated to engineering, creativity, and teamwork. Sixty-three students took part, divided into two age groups, each assigned a separate engineering task.

The junior group was challenged to design and build a lighthouse. The aim was to create the tallest and most stable structure capable of supporting an LED at the top.



Results of the junior group:
- 1st place — Team 1-11 (height: 117 cm)

- 2nd place — Team 1-8 (height: 92 cm)

The senior group worked on creating a Rube Goldberg machine — a mechanism where the goal was to achieve the longest continuous movement of a ball through a series of interactions.
Results of the senior group:
- 1st place — Team 2-8 (duration: 19.08 seconds)

In the 2025/26 academic year, Adriatic College will launch a new Engineering and Mathematics track, providing even more opportunities for students to develop their skills in these fields.
