Ghost School: Halloween at Adriatic College
November 06, 2023
The Halloween celebration at our school became a vivid and memorable event. On the day of the festival, the school transformed into a real haunted house, where students hunted for ghosts hidden throughout the building, demonstrating their wit and team spirit.
The makeup has been washed off, the scary costumes have been replaced with regular clothes, and candies are no longer handed out during breaks — it's time to recall how Halloween went!
Let's start with the fact that ghosts flew into our school right on the holiday and hid in the most secretive places. The teachers couldn't catch them independently, so they had to ask the students for help. For every ghost seen in the school, the ghost hunters received candies.
Catching ghosts wasn't the only way to get sweets. The kids could also test their knowledge of unusual spiders, matching photos with names, or their understanding of other languages. For example, we found out how to say "pumpkin" in Hungarian, "black cat" in Italian, and "magic" in Danish.
The three main reasons why Halloween happened:
- The school needed saving from ghosts
- The kids asked for the celebration
- We wanted to ensure again that the kids are excellent at picking costumes and creating images. And not just the kids 🌝
I was speaking of costumes! Many costumes were not only scary but also exciting and creative. A human speaker, a costume with baby Yoda, card queens from Alice in Wonderland, a pirate, Wednesday, and many other fabulous costumes.
Rumour has it that this year, significantly more kids dressed up for the Halloween party, and we hope that next year, the absolute majority will come in costumes 🎃
